Yr 4-8 Athletic Sports
Abbie is a Year 8 student who is attending Oaklands School. Today she is going to tell you about Oaklands School's 2009 Year 4-8 Athletics Day. There were over 3 different sports. She talks to you about what happened during the day.

AVAILLL Reading Programme Year 7-8
The 3 year 7-8 classes at Oaklands School are starting a new and fun reading programme called AVAILLL. The purpose of the programme is to increase students vocabulary and their ability to read.
AVAILLL involves watching movies while reading the subtitles and also focusing on the subtitles to spot certain words or certain sentences. AVAILLL is known for being more successful than most other reading programmes in different ways, and its really enjoyable.

Orton Bradley Trip
On the 5th February our Year 7/8 students went to Orton Bradley Park for a leadership day. We participated in team challenges such as orienteering and low ropes. The orienteering was hard but really fun. We had a great time and I hope we can go there again.
